I can answer questions regarding barrel racing, pole bending, gymkhana, and also breaking in horses and any "problem" issues. I also know a lot of horse behaviour and horsemanship and reining. I also know a lot about riding skills, do's and don'ts, and overall riding position. Also, I know a lot about bucking and rearing problems and much more!
I do quite a bit of barrel racing, overall. I also do my share of pole bending, and i have trained reining horses. I also do western pleasure classes and gymkhanas and I have also trained other people's horses. I also know a bit about English training, especially show jumping, since I have done a bit of that myself. But, including all this, I have only been around horses for five years, but I have done so many things already, including training, so don't let the few years bother you. I've been known to help many experienced people.
I belong in the MBRA (Manitoba Barrel Racing Association) and HRA (Heartland Rodeo Association).
Been around horses for around 5 years, but would like to help more people and begin to explain about different things for different people.
I have received trophies for my barrel racing and once received a trophy and I was the youngest and least experienced rider there. I have placed a lot in gymkhana's and pole bending and also in western and English classes.

This is a situation where you need to know what's best for you and your horse. I personally believe in working my seasoned horse on the pattern a couple times a week to keep him fresh and reviewed. I have
Hey! So sorry I took so long to reply, life has gotten really busy for me. I had a very similar gelding that used to do this to me. It's hard to say what the problem is without really seeing what's happening
Hey, this is quite a complicated question because all horses are different. I've seen top barrel horses compete from a D-Ring snaffle bit to a comlicated mechanical hackamore. What I found useful from
i think its cause she is too young. she may need more time to mature out. for now, just work on leads, collection, flexing, and all the basics until she is four and then try again. sorry for taking so
First thing I would do is forget the barrels with him. He feels really insecure around them at the moment. I would just stick to riding him around the yard or arena and just work on circles, leads, flexing
