It is Christmas time again and please let me wish you a very Christ-centered Christmas. May you experience joy as we remember the time when Jesus Christ, God incarnate, came down to earth and limited himself in the form of a man so he could share the greatest gift of all. Do not be deceived by the Watchtower about it's teachings that "Christmas is rooted in ungodly traditions" because it is not. Recently the Watchtower has been playing down the Christmas thing saying that they respect people whether they celebrate the holiday or not. The fact of the matter is that Jehovah's witnesses believe that celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is such a big deal that they will ignore and disfellowship a member for even celebrating the gift of Jesus Christ. Does an organization who shun people for remembering the incarnation sound like they are followers of God to you? With that being said, I am familiar with Watchtower doctrine and I am happy to look at how this doctrine lines up with the Bible. I am not into taking out one verse here and there but I believe that all Scripture must be interpreted in context. Some may say for example that the trinity is pagan in origin and that it was made up in the 4th century. (There is simply no evidence for this.) The Bible clearly reveals that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit are 100% God. Phil 1:2, John 1:1, 14, Col 2:9, Acts 5:3-4. If the watchtower is "God's visible organization", then why does the organization lie so much? Want documented proof of their deception, visit: http://jwfacts.com/watchtower/misquotes-deception-lies.php I would be happly to answer any questions or to agree with you in prayer.
I am a Bible believing Christian and have been for 36 years. I have relatives who are Jehovah's witnesses so I know about the stress on families that this can cause.
I am actively involved in my church where I lead a Bible study and am involved in the sound tech crew.
Sorry for using "I" so much. My undergraduate degree is in Theology and I have a Masters in Educational leadership.
Here is a great clip by Francis Chan as he deals with some Jehovah's witnesses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcFMGKLTI5k

Hi Carlita, This is a common line of reasoning from Jehovah's witnesses. The fact of the matter is that the formal name of God is 4 letters in Hebrew that scholars are just not sure on how to pronounce
Thomas, Thanks for your question. I have talked to many Jehovah's Witnesses about the blood issue and unfortunately many seem to be pretty closed minded on this issue. I don't know if begging would
Hi Bill, In thinking about your question, there are several directions I could go. I could look at this from a physiological standpoint, a theological standpoint, or go with a strait logic viewpoint
Thank you for your question about blood transfusions. Jehovah's witnesses reason for this is found in looking at 3 scriptures. They believe that these scriptures teach that it is wrong to transfuse blood
I wish I had something to say that would make this all better but I don't. The watchtower has a very systematic method to get their members brain washed into thinking that their only hope of escaping
