Expertise

I am familiar with all aspects of the English National Curriculum for both primary and secondary schools, including the new curricula for 2008 and 2011 for each sector. Knowledge of those aspects of government policy which are statutory and those which are recommended, such as the National Primary Strategy, the National Secondary Strategy, National Literacy and Numeracy projects, as well as National Curriculum testing and SATs.

Experience in the area

Qualified teacher with experience in both primary and secondary sectors, and a member of the General Teaching Council's curriculum development group.
