Expertise:  **** if you receive a message from this site that states you have too many follow up questions... please just start a new thread/line of discussion with me as the computer will sometimes automatically generate those responses... dave.**** I am happy to answer all levels of questions. All of us were once beginners. I work with Cichlids, Goldfish, Community fish, turtles, aquatic plants and cleaner fish/invertebrates. I am not an expert regarding Koi. Experience in the area
I have been in the hobby for over three years. I am currently setting up an online business to sell aquatic plants. I have raised and bred guppies, cichlids and goldfish. I currently keep over 200 differnt kinds of fish and over 100 different kinds of aquatic plants. I also have been part of a fish rescue group that take in fish people no longer want. I currently have 16 tanks at home plus two hosptital tanks, 1 snail tank, and a nursery for plants. I work in an aquarium so I have some experience in other areas that I do not feel I am an expert in. The most important piece of information that I would like to convey here is the fact that I love fish and have for many years been rewarded by keeping fish. I would like to be able to help people share the same kind of satisfaction that I have had from keeping fish.

Education/Credentials
BS Business with emphasis in science.

What do you like about this subject?  I love fish and aquatic plants, the relationships that both have in the home, etc. I like to watch and learn about how fish interact and how the environmental changes in tanks relate to fish/plant growth and disease.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I am always fascinated by fish/plants and disease, the advancement of treatments available. I am interested in how people set up their tanks with plants and the different methods by which they keep them healthy. I always strive to achieve a better understanding of fish and particularly what I term as fish psychology
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  a three inch paroon shark can eat a 2 inch cichlid whole...
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  destroying sick fish by freezing is not very humane. I just found out that goldfish have memories.
