I can answer all questions related to sewing window treatments... roman shades, window valances and drapes. I am glad to help troubleshoot a design or an issue with a project. I will not offer detailed instructions on exactly how to make a window treatment from scratch. I can also help with sewing home decor and quilting questions. Plus sewing techniques.
I run a sewing projects web site http://www.SimpleSewingProjects.com where members can enjoy step by step video tutorials on how to sew a project... learn sewing techniques... and print illustrated step by step instructions. The sewing projects range from window treatments, home decor, clothing, tote bags to fun projects. I've been running my online sewing publishing business for about 10 years. I also produce a weekly video podcast show called HowToSewWithJennyT.com showing viewers how to sew.

I admit... I'm a frabiholic! I LOVE fabric. And if I can find away to create beautiful things with all those fun prints... the better. I love sitting at my sewing machine... hearing the whir... stitching lines... and ultimately creating something useful... and decorative. Us sewers gotta stick together!

Assuming your fabric will be about 54" wide, you will need to piece together 2 widths of fabric to get a piece of fabric that is over 60" wide. So you'll need 2 x 80 (160") for the face fabric and

Hi Debbie, Don't throw it away! Those machines are like tanks and will run forever if you keep them up. I would recommend getting it serviced and see how it works for you. Worse case it doesn't
I see your design dilemma! I would install a dust board from wall to wall. A dust board is a 1" x 3" board cut to the desired width. In this case about 5.5 feet. I would then sew a 2.5 foot long
