Kelly, If the runner remained three feet within the running lane, there is no call. You could have an obstruction call if the catcher is blocking the path of the runner without having possession of
White; Players must compete in at least 60% of the REGULAR SEASON games. This does not include tournaments or high school games. The 12-game minimum is exclusive of tournament and special games.
Greg, The pitcher cannot have anything on his pitching hand or arm. The umpire needs to have him remove the bandage at the moment the infraction is noticed with no other penalty. If the pitcher refuses
Rob, In the regular season, this would be correct. However, during all stars, teams play by a modified set of rules. One of the changes from regular season to all stars is the mandatory play requirement
Lori, Chances are, the umpire sees the batter interfering with the throw. If this was the case, he is correct, it is interference. However, by rule 6.06 (c), the batter is out, not the runner.
