Expertise

I can answer questions about reincarnation (from both Eastern and Western perspectives) and life after death, and how these topics relate to religion and spirituality.

Experience in the area

I produced a documentary entitled "In Another Life: Reincarnation in America" which aired on PBS station KBDI in Denver, CO, Jan. 2003
I have a masters in counseling from FSU, and over thirty years' study of Eastern mysticism from carefully selected sources, plus eight years' study of contemporary Western reincarnation studies. I've published nine related articles online and in print. I offer an online class on the subject and maintain an extensive educational website at www.ial.goldthread.com, as well as giving talks and radio interviews (archived on the website).

What do you like about this subject?

It gives purpose and a moral order to the universe; it also goes a long way towards giving a context for our likes, dislikes, interpersonal connections, fears and dreams. It can give you a better understanding of what your individual purpose is in this lifetime. It also makes Christianity make sense.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I'd like to learn more about how reincarnation interacts with genetics (I have some theories); and more about exactly how people can make decisions about what their next life will be like (there are some areas where you can choose).

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Reincarnation has been proven scientifically, but has been rejected or ignored by mainstream science for cultural and "political" reasons, not for the quality of the research.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Birthmarks and congenital scars which have no other explanation or apparent cause, may be left over from the mental impressions of an injury in a previous lifetime. This has profound implications for the influence of past lives on one's health.

Hi Chad, Well, as I say, if you ask a chiropractor whether your health problems are due to misalignment of your spine, he'll probably say "yes"... I wouldn't worry too much about foreshadowings.

Dear Kavita, Your daughter does sound like an inspiring young lady. What you say is true, that if dreams are not fulfilled in one life, they will be fulfilled in a future life. The group I mentioned

Hi, I'll try to answer the last part of your question first. People *do* have a visitation of a loved one who has died, in dreams, but usually it happens some months after the death. I can only guess

2009-09-19 Life After Death:

Hi, The quick answer is that we do, indeed, return into another person. But when you delve more deeply into this question, the waters get more muddy. For example, now you are in your mid 40's. Are you

2009-08-19 Pregnancy & Reincarnation:

Dear Natalya, Intense, vivid, repetitive, identical dreams are usually stimulated by past-life memories--but whether these are your memories or your unborn child's memories, I couldn't say for sure
