I am a Athlete and Athlete know what there all is to know. I have been in the Special Olympics for 19 years. I do Swimming, Bowling, and Horseback Riding. I have done Golf and Track & Field. I'm in ALPs (Athlete Leadership Program) where I give my input on how to improve my County.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Special Olympics is the world's largest program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. More than 1 million athletes around the world benefit from participation in Special Olympics.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I am still learning every day. I would like others to see that even Mentally Handicapped people are just like you. They can do the same things just slower. I also want to become a Swimming Coach.
What do you like about this subject?  Special Olympics is all about having fun even if you loose and informing others about Special Olympics.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Special Olympics offers training and competition opportunities in 26 Olympic-type sports for athletes 8 years or older no matter what your ability level. Athletes can benefit from Special Olympics. And no matter what their interest are, there is a sport for them. There is no charge for Special Olympics Athletes.
