Too many times, people buy jack puppies because they are absolutely adorable, and then a few months down the road they own this dog that they know nothing about and haven't prepared or trained for. I am a veterinary technician, dog trainer and breeder of Jack Russells.
I own four Jack Russells and I have been working with dogs for 30 years. My personal interest is in helping educate people about the very special qualities of this breed. I advocate education and research of the breed before you buy one, they are wonderful pets if suited with the right person/family. Do your homework first! I can help you determine if you are a good match with this breed. I want people to know also that there are two types of Jack Russells, the Parson hunter with long legs and the Shortie or Russell Terrier and their very distinct differences. I LOVE the Jack Russell Terrier breed and all it's glory and history! They are loyal and loving and wonderful companions as well as hysterically funny and smart. Contrary to popular belief, they are NOT all crazy and bouncing off the walls!

There are actually types of "jack" Russell Terriers. There is a diverse history of the breed. There are some pretty extreme differences.
Nothing can be further from the truth about the BAD REPUTATION that Jack Russells have been labeled with. Do your research, ask questions and get the facts before you judge ANY dog. 99.9% of the time it's the OWNERS of "bad" dogs that are at fault, most of the time unintentionally.

Hi Sue, You're smart to ask! And even smarter to plan!! No it won't hurt or bother the dogs to be crated for a little while - However, I'm wondering even if they are, can the baby crawl over and
I'm glad he's at least taking water/food!! Keep up the good work, make sure he drinks! If the pain gets worse, or if he gets lethargic, and refuses to drink/eat, you'll really have to try to get him

Elizabeth, Did you have an ultrasound? Do you know how many puppies are in there? Are you sure there isn't only that one? How old is she? If she is old, it may take some more time, they tire easily
