Frankly, if you've been happy with your G4, there are some available on ebay for very reasonable prices. There is a refurbished one with attachments for $359.63, includes shipping. A 5 year motor warranty

I recommend buying a used, refurbished one from a reputable, local vacuum store. Or as an alternative, take it to that store and have them do the repair work. You will probably get a better warranty than

This is a repair that should only be done by a trained/qualified vacuum service tech. The cost of labor is reasonable, although the part may seem a mite spendy, depending on where you have it done. Aerus
2011-12-17 pariot vacuum:
Like many of the high end vacuums, the Patriot (new)can only be purchased from a dealer/store. The warranty is usually void if purchased through another outlet, such as online vacuum stores or Ebay
2011-12-11 agitator (brush) motor:
The motor doesn't run at all? If not, it's possible it did burn out, but the belt usually breaks before that happens. The manual states there is a thermal protector, but says nothing about a switch
