Expertise: I would be happy to answer any question reguarding the construction of decks, composites verses natural materials, structure support systems,railing applications,stair design, how to figure stairs etc.. Pretty much anything that has to do with decks and or porches.

I have been in the construction industry for over 26 years including new home construction, custom deck and screen porches. Most of my expertise is from framing custom homes for over 20 years. I now own and opperate a very successful custom deck and screen porch company in Atlanta Ga. Along with my Brother.

What do you like about this subject? I really enjoy working outdoors and designing decks and porches, especially when I see the customers reaction to what I've done.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? I feel like I learn a new "trick" on every job. Although I feel like I have "mastered" the art of deck const. you can never know everything.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: When a deck falls off of a house, ( I'm sure we have all seen the news storys) 90% of the time it is due to a simple $20.00 piece of flashing that was never installed.
