Well what you can do is to try and at least get the friend to take this dog to a groomer,and to see if she can at least get him cleaned up. If she does not go for that,another you can try to talk her into
One breed of dog that does well for that type of situation would be a greyhound-despite being the fastest dog on record,as a pet they are VERY laid back and even do well in apartments. A few brisk walks
1-It depends on the species and the surroundings. Cats,in general are more likely to resort to being wild than dogs. Cats can become a problem in some areas for killing endangered birds and this is a problem
There's also a number of private rescues that are no-kill that are excellent for taking in pets,and most of them stay in a foster home rather than a shelter situation. Now to find such a place can be somewhat
Must places will not accept a puppy that is too young for it's shots as it is VERY easy for a puppy to come into contact with many diseases the worst one being Parvo which is very deadly to puppies-so
