I can answer questions pertaining to aftercare in the areas of fitness training, behavior change, and lifestyle modification. I can also provide support, education, and strategies to boost motivation, self-confidence, and self-esteem, which are necessary in maintaining an active lifestyle.

Experience in the area

I am currently employed as an Exercise Physiologist for the Huntsville Hospital Wellness Center in Huntsville, AL. The bulk of my clients are over 40. As a physiologist employed in a medical fitness facility, I train and coach individuals who have had bariatric surgery, are post-therapy, want to manage weight during menopause, are participating in our medical weight loss program, or have diabetes. I also teach quarterly health and fitness education courses ranging from corrective exercise to weight management topics.

I graduated with Master of Arts in Human Performance Studies from the University of Alabama in 2009. I am also certified by several organizations: American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer; National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist; a Certified Lifestyle Fitness Coach through the Spencer Institute, and a Certified Menofitness (Menopause and Fitness) Trainer through Menofitness.
