Dog Grooming/Expert Profile

Expertise

I can answer all questions about proper grooming for dogs and cats. I am familiar with the proper needs of different coat types (Terrier vs Poodle, etc) and how to get the best outcome from your groomer. I work in a vet's office so I get to see firsthand what skin and coat issues translate into from a vet's standpoint and have become experienced in learning what certain fungus, allergies, etc look like. I can also explain behavioral questions as I have dog behavior background and agility training experience.

Experience in the area

I have been grooming for 15 years and am constantly adapting to the newest styles, information and data that is continuously updated. I have access to veterinarian information since I work for a vet office. As well as doing show grooms, pet grooms and utility grooms (shavedowns to treat infections, etc) I keep a regime of shampoos with special mixes of protein, PH and moisturizing for the different coat types.

Education/Credentials

Grooming does not require any sort of certification, but I had two years of schooling at Petsmart Academy followed by mentoring from show owners of many different breeds.
