Expertise

I can answer most questions regarding the appraising, authenticating, buying or selling of modern (20th century to present) autographs of all genres including Hollywood, music, politics, sports and more.

I have owned and operated AutographsForSale.com, the Web's #1 Place for Authentic Autographs, since 1999.

I am the world's top expert on Tiger Woods autographs, having followed his signing habits since 1996. I was featured on the premiere episode of the TLC show Auctioneer$ to evaluate a questionable Tiger Woods autographed golf ball.

Experience in the area

  • Active autograph collector since 1988.
  • Autograph dealer since 1997.
  • Owner, AutographsForSale.com since 1999.
  • Former autograph columnist and feature writer for Beckett Publications.
  • Former Autographed Product Manager for Upper Deck Authenticated.
  • Baseball autographs, cards and collectibles columnist for Junior Baseball Magazine.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

The companies that charge for "third party authentication" (Global/GAI, JSA and PSA/DNA) are not nearly as competent as they claim. They make numerous mistakes, both authenticating fake autographs and not authenticating real autographs. They also play favorites and have many conflicts of interest. In general I do NOT recommend that anyone use these companies.

Hi Jim,    I am not qualified to authenticate that signature, but the most recent Sanders price guide lists a signed photo for $168. However, that is a full retail price for an unpersonalized photo in

Hi Dennis,    It appears you have one of the 500 HR Club baseballs sold by Score Board. It probably looks very similar to this one:  http://autographsforsale.com/500-home-run-club-autographed-baseball-score-board

Hi Stephen,    Autographs of high profile NASA astronauts can be worth quite a bit. The most valuable of the 3 would be Armstrong, who rarely signed once he retired from NASA, followed by Shepard (who

David,    IF authentic, which is a BIG IF, the Ali glove would be worth at least $1000 US. A large percentage of Ali autographs are fake. Unless you saw it signed in front of you OR it has a certificate

Hi Chris,    First I have to confess I've been slow to add MMA autographs to my inventory simply because I have my hands full with all the other sports and genres. So I can't profess to be an expert in
