Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

burlesque today is very empowering. most of the audience is made up of women. its not about sex, so much as its about performance and art. And, yeah, of course its about the tease. Don't get me wrong, men love to watch burlesque as well, but it's very different than what it was in the past. The history of burlesque is very interesting though.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Well, the thought of a woman taking her clothes off in front of other people in itself is controversial and completely provocative, but the way it is done determines if it is to be considered "dirty". There is a big difference between strip clubs and burlesque shows. I have experience in both.
