Expert Profile: Ben Willis

Expertise:  I can generally answer questions regarding animal predation, more particlarly those caused by felines wild and feral. I also have experience related to human attacks from these animals. I cannot answer questions concerning wildlife ecology or livestock, except those which have experienced predation, nor can I offer advice for prevention. I found this site after I was quoted from one of my articles on bobcat bites. Basically, when felines are suspected, I am able to distinguish between other animals.

Experience in the area
I've studied and analyzed bite/claw marks for several decades as well as suffering a few of my own. I've also rescued both feral and wild cats.

I did notice puncture wounds on the neck,it is possible that a large cat grabbed it that way as well, never thought of that
