What do you like about this subject?  It reveals the internal sections of the object by approximation using measured projections data.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  Ridgelet transforms usage for approximation of inverse Radon transform.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  CAT scanning is an inverse problem that is ill-posed. Mathematically, infinite number of projections are required to find the exact Radon transform.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Heavy computational load that is unavoidable.
