What do you like about this subject?  I love the real estate business. I like the energy and action of lease negotiation, and get definite joy from knowing that I am able to protect my clients' interests in ways they may not know how to do themselves.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  I believe that the commercial real estate business is due for change. There is still too much focus on control of information, and not enough on actually providing a service. Like many other industries, this one has been drastically changed by the information age where information flows freely. I also believe some of the biggest changes are yet to come.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Leases are created by landlords to maximize their own protection and control of the property.
