Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  The world's most expensive lamp sold for over $ 2.8 million.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  The general great disparity in quality of lamps and lighting produced today compared to those made circa 1900 is a huge personal motivation to me and my business daily.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I have an accumulated an extensive library on antique lamps and lighting plus I research lamps daily. My customers bring antique lamps into my shop regularly and this keeps my ideas new and refreshing and a constant source of inspiration. I could never learn enough about this subject.
What do you like about this subject?  I love the new ever changing lamp and shade styles and colors and how they relate and compare to antique lamp designs from the turn of the century.
