I can also answer general questions about ozone depletion and ocean acidification.

It is so interconnected with every other subject--it is mostly science, but it also involves a bit of economics, politics, history, humanities--everything. I also believe that becoming well educated about the future of climate change is critical to humanity's progress.
It really doesn't have much to do with nature. So many believe "the environment" is something separate from humanity. That global warming is just about polar bears. It isn't--I couldn't care less about polar bears. By far the biggest danger about GW is its effect on the economy.
Is there any other topic out there that is *more* controversial than GW?

Hi again Julian, My answer to this is going to be basically the same: it's not going to happen. And for the same reason as I stated before, that it is far too valuable of a city for it to be lost.
Hi again Hannah, I understand now that you are interested in absolute temperatures, not anomalies. I'm sorry to say, this is not quite so easy. The problem with getting absolute temperatures is that
Hi Julian, While climate change may play a part in affecting the precipitation patterns of some areas, you can't really attribute a recent drought to global warming: droughts have always happened.
Hi Hannah, You can find data for the global average temperature since 1880 at NASA's website, here: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/tabledata/GLB.Ts+dSST.txt I know there are a lot of numbers
Hi Michael, I have answered your questions below: <<What kind of experience do you have in regard to the atmosphere and the study of it?>> I am an environmental engineer, which means I have taken
