Expertise: I work with Gnostic knowledge, with wisdom that is engendered in me and flows through me. I am NOT a fortune teller. I do not consult star charts and birthdays. Send me your straight-on questions, but please, if you want me to guess at the person who is the source of your grief or read some mystical significance into your birthdate, find another.
I take the occult at its meaning of "hidden knowledge", that which is not brought into the mainstream and accepted as conventional wisdom. The occult is a science-like study of what cannot be measured through mundane means, whereas conventional science deals in measurable things. Some people may call this paranormal.
My expertise is in vampires (the legend and the reality), death, dying, and after death experiences, magic, extra-sensory perception, astrology, spiritualism, numerology, lucid dreaming, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Luciferianism, Thelema, and Neopaganism.
At the moment I am focusing on the Book of the Law by A. Crowley to draw some parallels between contemporary events and his Aeon of Horus.
Experience in the area I've spent 20 years researching vampires around the world, reading occult philosophies from many areas, explaining a different take on the process of death, as well as chasing after some unexplained critters like the New Jersey Devil. At the same time I've kept my head on my shoulders and can explain these things in a rational matter.
Let's get some madness out of the way--namely, vampire myth and legend.
1) I do not think I am immortal, unless we're talking about serial immortality and reincarnation, in which case who knows?
2) I do not drink blood, except when I've been hit in the mouth with, say, a hockey stick or a football or taken some other blow to the mouth, which happens more frequently than I like.
3) I do not start to smolder and burn in sunlight, but I do have a very Irish complexion and the sun can be brutal on pale skin and freckles.
4) I do not have my own fangs, but I do have the rattlesnake fang my shaman teacher gave to me.
5) I do not sleep in a coffin, but my partner and I do own a nice casket, which we use as a bookcase.
All right. That should do it.
It's been about 20 years since I finally realized that my interests were just never going to be mainstream and that I should capitalize on going where most people never dare.
I'm a professional and published writer, but then there are plenty of those. I'm the one who peeks behind the veil, the one who goes walking between worlds for experiences readers on this side want to know about but prefer someone else's first hand account.
