I have 40 years in the garage door industry and have seen almost everything. I am on the IDEA board of directors (www.dooreducation.com) and am accredited by same. I will, to the best of my ability answer your questions on doors or openers. IF YOUR DOOR OPENER DOES NOT HAVE SAFETY CELLS, REPLACE IT. I'll bet you don't have a 20 year old television! I will not deal with shinbuster type doors. Replace it if you have one!
I have been in the overhead door industry for 40 years. I have dealt with all major brands of garage doors and openers. I have been a member of the International Door Association for 25 years(www.doors.org). My speacialty is working with and understanding stretch and torsion springs. However, I will never recommened a customer to deal with a garage door spring.

You never stop learning.
A garage door spring in one long piece of wire and wire id is decided by the door weight. It can be would into any inside diameter from 1 19/32" to 6" and will do the same job.
Children and animals die from garage door openers without working, properly installed safety cells and safety equipment. June is garage door safety month!

Hi Gary, Safety cells should be mounted beside the door tracks no more than six inches from the floor. If you do not have the cells, do to ul325 for garage door openers, I will not answer questions

Hi Lorraine, Your Geni keypad works on a 390 freq. I believe Ultrlift(moore O Matic) works on a 310 frequency. I would suggest trying a Liftmaster 387 universal Keyless. You should be able to pick
