All hardwood related forest management and timber management related questions, including wildlife, aesthetic, and habitat management. I have extensive experience dealing with timber buyers, private landowners, townships, and county and federal governments. I specialize in forest management in PA, OH, and northern WV.

Experience in the area

Twenty (20+) years of business and forest management experience including office and personnel management, public relations, and urban and conventional forestry. Co-wrote the first municipal tree management plan for Pennsylvania’s Urban Forest Program and performed the first five municipal tree inventories for the MTRP (Municipal Tree Restoration Project) through Penn State University, Co-owned Community Tree Service, Inc., which provided residential and business tree care in the Moon Township area from 1993 to 1998. Administered timber sale management, timber stand improvement, tree planting, marking, and marketing; sale prospectus layout, map design; oil and timber trespass investigation; boundary line re-establishment, property deed title research, aerial photo interpretation; gypsy moth aerial spray program coordination, fire and insect damage assessment; marketing of damaged timber; urban/community forestry; expert witness; public relations coordination, lectures, and client contacts; environmental assessment, erosion control, soil stability, stream quality retention; certified Pennsylvania Forest Stewardship Program provider.
