I can answer questions regarding travel in Jordan for holiday. I can suggest destinations and how much time to spend visiting them, what are the must-see places and what you can avoid - even though they may have been hyped up elsewhere. I can advise on the best means of travel and accommodation. I can also advise on food - where you can find what kind of foods and what can you specifically enjoy at a place. If you are considering a holiday in Jordan then you could benefit from my experience of spending two weeks in April 2013 - probably the best time to go to Jordan from a weather perspective. I cannot advise on business travel in Jordan.
I, with my family (one grown up son) recently spent two weeks on holiday in Jordan. We started by spending two days at Madaba which is closer to the airport than Amman. We then headed south via the Dead Sea, Mukawir (palace of Herod), Al-Kharak (crusader castle) and then spent two days in the Dana Biosphere Reserve staying at the Feynan Ecolodge. From Dana we traveled to Aqaba for a bit of relaxation at one of the sea-side resorts. From Aqaba we moved to Petra and spent two days exploring the hisorical ruins of Petra and Little Petra (about 40 mins away). From Petra we travelled to Amman and on the way stopped by at Shobak (crusader castle) and Umm-ar-Rasas (UNESCO Heritage site off the Desert Highway). From Amman we made a day trip to Jerash (Roman ruins), Pella, Ajloun (castle) and Umm-Qais (Roman Ruins) from where you can see the Sea of Galilee, Israel, Syria and the Golan Heights. On our final day we spent at Amman getting to know the history of the Citadel and Roman Theatre in the older part of the town.
