Ask A Question

Elizabeth Tanner

I can answer any questions from pregnancy in a woman with a disability to birthing options that would best fit the woman and her needs. I can also answer questions on dealing with the disability in aspects of caring for the newborn or infant. I can help with keeping your emotional state where it should be and to help recognize signs of postpartum depression.

Experience in the area

I have spent 24 years dealing with a neuromuscular disease. Got pregnant and carried my child to 35 weeks when all doctors told me I wouldn't get past 28 weeks without being put on oxygen or bed rest. I now deal on a daily basis with in-laws who thinks that I am an unfit parent. I have to prove myself every day that I can take care of my daughter, who was born January 13, 2012

all through high school. I made sure that I did work in the on-site preschool as well, as took courses in child development. I also took a college course that covered from conception to death. As well as learning about my disability from clinics that I attend every year.
