What do you like about this subject?

It is very challenging and includes aspects of engineering, design and medicine as well as good investigation skills.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Find a prevention or screening process for MTBI and especially sudden death as a result of what seems a minor impact perhaps realted to SIS.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Helmets are up to 90% effective in preventing head and brain injuries, even inexpensive ones work, so long as they meet a standard appropriate for the intended use.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Despite popular belief helmets neither prevent nor contribute to neck injury in nearly all types of impacts. The old saw ?wear a helmet and break your neck? is less true than the myth that wearing a seatbelt will result in loss of life from entrapment. While there are exceptions to every rule the facts say wear a helmet.
