Ask A Question

I can answer questions about the value of drums and how to do repairs and tuning. I can give advice about various stages of the drum career and advice on how to join and behave in a band and how to get other jobs in the industry. I can give advice about how to find students and run your own teaching studio and how to run a music studio from a store. I can give advice on buying and selling drums and how to build the arsenal of drums and chops you want. If you have questions about drums, I have answers.

Thank you very much for the question,     If I assume there are no problems with it (no holes drilled for additional hardware, it has all original mounts and hardware etc) and has normal wear or little

Yes, that is surely the cymbalsmith's signature.  Good to see it was not cleaned off.  Not incredibly rare for the signature to still be there, but it does help the value.  It will probably go up some

Hello, thank you very much for the question. Dating old cymbals and even drums is tricky, and unless someone has a receipt or a story then generally we have to make a good guess based on a number of factors

2014-12-28 value:

Wow, very cool.  Yes it has value.  Like with every drum set the value would depend on where and how you sell it, whether you are willing to ship internationally and a lot of other factors. It also depends

2014-05-21 1960's Slingerland drum kit:

There should be a badge on the bass drum and the snare drum. Some of the older Slingerland drum sets do not have badges on the toms if they were part of a set of drums that included the bass.  If there
