I can answer biology-related questions in the areas of evolution, zoology, botany, genetics, and ecology. But I don't answer homework questions or provide ideas for your science fair projects. So students please do your learning the right way by reading your text assignments and studying!
At the University of Miami, I teach Evolution and Biodiversity, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Ecology, and a variety of seminars (e.g., the Biology and Evolution of Human Gender Roles).
I have a B.S. in Biology and an A.B. in English from the University of Southern California (1980). I earned my Ph.D. in Biology in the area of evolutionary biology/visual physiology from the University of Miami in 1989.
I am currently an "expert" in both the "Rabbits" and "Wild Animals" categories.
Hey, I got a Ph.D. in the subject. I guess I must love ALL of it. But my favorite areas are zoology, botany, and evolution.
I hope I can help others learn about and love biology.
If you're going to teach the Biblical account of creation as science in public school classrooms, then you'd better be ready to also teach the children about the Science of the ancient gods of Scandinavia, Greece, Rome, India, etc. And you must *especially* include the Science of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Everyone should get a fair shake.

Dear Eitan It's hard for me to tell from the picture, but if there are six legs very near the front of the animal, and not many legs all along the body, then this is very likely a beetle larva. I cannot
Dear Ahmed, Mammals all have oil glands that keep the skin lubricated and supple. It may seem excessive at times, but if we didn't have those oil glands, our skin would constantly be chapped and painful
Dear Ron, There are other nematode species in which the male and female exist in a constant state of coitus, so the hairlike projection and finlike appendage were very likely the male worm, if what
Dear Casandra, Every woman's cycles are a little bit different. But on the average, ovulation occurs approximately 14 days after menstrual cycle begins. Don't use this estimate as a form of birth
