Expert Profile: John Zalewski

Expertise:  I can fully edit your work (two-page maximum length), or a portion of your piece, and recommend ways to improve your writing. I can offer synonyms to use instead of the same, boring words. I can provide definitions, and teach you the proper usage of most (if not all) forms of punctuation. I cannot comment on the history of writing, or the various forms of writing (Calligraphy, etc.). I love to write. I love to teach. So, this is a wonderfully perfect job for me!
I wrote a 353-page book entitled 'Hell in May.' I also wrote an 883-page book entitled 'Gone.' I am planning on trying to get the latter in print.

What do you like about this subject?  One of my favorite books is Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None.' This is also called 'Ten Little Indians.' If you've never read it, I advise you to do so.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I before E except after C (just kidding).
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Apostrophe marks for words ending in the letter 's' may go after the word (Venus' surface), or you may add another 's' (Moses's watch). (I prefer the former choice.)
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  (If you write an entire sentence that is enclosed in a set of parentheses, the punctuation mark goes inside the parentheses.) If part of the sentence is not inside of the parentheses, the punctuation mark goes outside of the parentheses (like in this sentence).

2008-09-23  in vs into Hello, Jim. Yes, I understand your point. It would be correct to write "79 in Warm Springs," or "76 in Roanoke." My guess is that when they say "Rain is moving into Roanoke," it means that it is...

2008-09-14  time question Hello, Jean. Well, technically, you could use either 'was' or 'is,' but since the father is no longer living, I'd use 'was.' 'Is' is also appropriate because you are stating an absolute fact. The...
