Thanks for your question, You cannot use stripper, water or any liquid on paper wicker. It will end up as a big lump of goo.The best way to remove the paint is very time consuming and that's just picking
Thanks for your question, You should be able to clean the item with mineral spirits or as they call it now, paint thinner. Get the odorless if you can. Also get some "Scotch Bright" pads. You'll fine
This is not an easy repair.You would need to get some rottonstone and work at the mark with it . You should be able to find some books at your library to show how to do this however, I would suggest that

Cast Iron won't usually get an odor to it. I would suspect it may have been packed with something or it came from a smokers home. I would place it in the sun for a few hours to see if the heat will draw
