I am able to provide complete information about the value and characteristics of large diamonds. This would include explaining the differences in certification reports and explaining what all the details of a certification mean and how these details affect the value of a diamond.

Experience in the area

I have been involved in the jewelry business since 1978 and have been a professional estate diamond buyer for over 15 years. I am the president of Hamilton York Estate Buyers, one of the leading large diamond buyers in the United States.

Education/Credentials

As with many diamond dealers, most of my experience comes from the day to day business of buying, selling, and evaluating diamonds. At one time, my company supplied diamonds and jewelry to over 800 retail stores across the U.S.A. Additionally, many years ago I did complete the Diamond Courses as offered by the Gemological Institute of America, (GIA) the recognized leader in gemological education.
