I have grown roses for over 40 years, worked in a rose nursery in the Pacific Northwest and now, thanks to retirement, have managed to stuff over a 800 roses into an acre of land.

What do you like about this subject?  I like the fact that there are so many different shapes and colours in the roses.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Roses are like people, plus they also have bloodlines like people, so a rose can have a personality, such as, doesn't like wind, hates sandy soil or prefers a warm climate. Even bugs can be only attracted to specific named rose.
