The code says the idle speed control valve is stuck. You don't mention which model you have. I suggest you go onto www.roadfly.com, look up hte message board for your model, and get more detail
You need to get it to a dealer. Something happened with the transmission, and it's in a safe mode which will let you drive it enough to get it fixed. Might be bad....transmission shot, or ?? But likely
The fuel pump on this car is inside the tank, on the top. That sounds bad, but it's actually GOOD news. Disconnect the battery. Remove the bottom cushion of the rear seat. Find the "perferated"

Not aware of any free manual site for these. Best on-line source is www.roadfly.com, in the BMW e38 section. Best manual to get, no debate, is the manual by Bentley. Check on line for it....eBay often
