Hyundai Motor America offers service information to the general public for free. Factory service manuals, electrical schematics, and technical service bulletins can be viewed at and printed from their service site, www.hmaservice.com. Due to recent issues that have made it difficult for me to respond to questions in a reasonable amount of time, I've placed myself on indefinite vacation. I apologize to those who would like their questions answered, but I'm unable to provide satisfactory service. I hope to return soon. If no experts are available, use www.hmaservice.com and try messageboards such as www.talkaboutautos.com.

1. All oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust. 2. The sensor in question (sensor 1) is the upstream sensor and will be in the exhaust manifold on the transmission side. 3. It would be prudent
The sensor on top of the thermostat housing turns off the air conditioner compressor when the car is overheating. It doesn't control anything in relation to the cooling system. The cooling fans are controlled
If it were my car and I didn't have a scan tool to read current temperature, I'd just replace the sensor knowing there was a large probability it was the culprit. It's a rather simple repair. Unscrew
If the car drives normally on acceleration at speed, then it's doubtful you have a misfire. In that case, I might suspect a transmission or sensor issue. You'll need to try to sort out whether there's
It's not likely that your problem is either of the oxygen sensors. Although it's possible, a failed oxygen sensor rarely causes an engine performance issue. Replacing an oxygen sensor is fairly simple
