I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 17 years, full time, originally from the United States. I have a lot of great information on the area, and surrounding areas that I enjoy sharing with people planning their vacation to Puerto Vallarta. Unique and interesting facts and hints on the area. As well, I am the Patient and International Services Coordinator at a hospital here in Vallarta so I am happy to assist with healthcare questions.
No great accomplishments, just that I have lived here, year round for many years!
I have chosen Puerto Vallarta to be my home. I love the area, the people, the flora and fauna. I enjoy sharing this knowledge with people, especially if they are arriving for the first time.
To stay living in Puerto Vallarta.
Very few Non/Mexicans move here and stay year round, living and working as a local.
Definitely not a choice for everyone.

Hola Marion, I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been in a conference the past few days. There are many great, relaxing and less "touristy" places in the area! I will put a plug in for my
Dana, Puerto Vallarta has 6 private, state-of-the-art hospitals so there is no need to worry about good care. If someone thinks they have the swine flu, they can go to any lab and have the nose swab/testing
Hi, You will not be able to cash a personal check from the US ANYWHERE here! You can use your ATM card though. Some banks are not changing traveler's checks but there are still plenty of places that do
Hi and thank you for your question. The best way to get between Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta is via bus. The ETN line (First Class) is the best. Comfortable, large and inexpensive. Remember though
Mavis, I do not know or have available (I have looked on the internet!) the exact times. I do know that it is an approximately 10 hour bus ride from Vallarta to Mazatlan and they have two buses a day
