I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 17 years, full time, originally from the United States. I have a lot of great information on the area, and surrounding areas that I enjoy sharing with people planning their vacation to Puerto Vallarta. Unique and interesting facts and hints on the area. As well, I am the Patient and International Services Coordinator at a hospital here in Vallarta so I am happy to assist with healthcare questions.
No great accomplishments, just that I have lived here, year round for many years!
I have chosen Puerto Vallarta to be my home. I love the area, the people, the flora and fauna. I enjoy sharing this knowledge with people, especially if they are arriving for the first time.
To stay living in Puerto Vallarta.
Very few Non/Mexicans move here and stay year round, living and working as a local.
Definitely not a choice for everyone.

Hi - If you mean the Hotel Riu in Nuevo Vallarta - there are buses that run about every 30 minutes from Nuevo Vallarta to Puerto Vallarta - perfectly safe and very economical! I believe they begin around
Hi! In reality, there are not many places in the area where there is good snorkeling off the beach. Mahajuitas (to the south and only accessible via boat) is good as well as Los Arcos and Marietta Islands
Hi Nathan and thanks for the questions. My recommendation is to go via Astrid at Superior Tours for your bus information/tickets, car rental - whatever you decide to do. She's probably the most reliable
Hi Karl, We are all getting very excited here for the PanAm Games! I am assuming you mean the Fiesta Americana Hotel, right? Gorgeous hotel - good location. Via bus, you will want to take the ETN Bus
Hi Phillip - Welcome to Vallarta! A checking account is pretty rare here unless you have a business. Why do you want one? Bills are paid here usually in cash, online or with a debit card. You are more
