I can provide current information on hotels, beach houses, surfing spots, golfing, transportation and restaurants in Northern Baja, Mexico. I can provide Internet links to Northern and Southern Baja lodging.
Baja California questions, please. I have travelled the Baja for 38 years. I have driven the length of Baja more than once and know the cities of Rosarito Beach, Ensenada, Guerrero Negro, San Ignatio, Santa Rosalia, Mulege, Loreto and La Paz. I have not spent much time in San Felipe.
There is an expanding use of the Internet in Baja and many of my contacts and ability to discover new information comes from those links.
I am always interested in learning more about the small entreprenuerial enterprises in the rural areas of Baja. They represent a wonderful business attitude that has been lost in the U.S.
The country of Mexico has many states. Baja California is actually two states, Norte and Sur (north and south). Overall, Baja California is huge and diverse. It is often misunderstood and often is the victim of American ignorant exaggeration and rumor.
The tourist trade exploitation of the cities of Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas make them undesirable destinations in my opinion. Fine to visit, but don't make them your home.

Greyhound Bus lines go from downtown Los Angeles to the bus depot in Tijuana where you can catch a bus to Loreto. For your stay in Baja, you will need FM-T visas. There is no website that lists the
That is a long way. I would use professional movers in Mexico. They can deal with the declaration paperwork for your household goods. There are reliable transporters who are likely to be near Otay Mesa
For beach houses very, very close to Las Rocas, please go to www.golasgaviotas.com Rates at Las Rocas when measured by per person, per night is high. They also charge about 15% tax on top of the rate
Steve, You can buy a round trip ticket on the Mexican Bus lines in TJ to Cabo. It takes the bus 22-24 hours to get to one end or the other and yes you can get off and back on. Check any of my other
Cabo sucks. It is Honolulu quality reality. Ugh. If you spend the night in Ensenada, you can easily make it to Santa Rosalia and/or Mulege. Plan on gas at El Rosario at the entrance to town from
