Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the radio. Remove the instrument panel cluster. Remove the bolts from ignition switch Reposition the ignition switch from the instrument panel for ease
the steering shaft can be lubed gm sells a lube kit for these it comes with instructions it is a dealer item only it must be purchased at a gm dealership I think they are about 30 dollars.As for the danger
