2009-06-20 Gear Selector switch:

why do you thing is water damage? gear shift module is the panel were you shift gears under that is all one unit comes with new display for gear shifting that is you gsm module gear shift module

you can change the regulator you have to remove alternator from the car but by that miles you have i would put new alternator from Volvo original part aftermarket or different stores will be cheaper

you have to find out what is wrong why the light is on you have to scan the fault codes in transmission module by Volvo dealer will tell you more what is maybe a sensor, wire or internal problem transmission
