There are two possible reasons for this problem. One is the crank case vent is work and oil is getting past it. You would have to remove it and mic the hole it goes in. the other would be that the oil
What you need to test is the stator. Unplug the regulator and at the prongs for the stator, od a OHMs test from one prong to ground and then the other. You should have no OHMs. Now test prong to prong
