Expertise

I can answer questions on mental abuse and physical abuse. I can answer questions on sexual abuse for adult women. I can not answer questions on sexual abuse for children because I have never experienced that personally.

Experience in the area

I was in an abusive situation twice. Once for 1-year and 6 months. The other for 2-years and 3 months. I know the cycle of being abused by the abuser and then believeing he will change. Forgiving him or her and then starting over again, with the same abuse.

What do you like about this subject?

I was abused by my step-father as a little girl. Then again by my ex-husband and ex-boyfriend. I use to ask God why me? Now I know mabe I went though all that I did so that I could help others who are now going through what I did. So if God can use me in this way then what I went through is ok.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I hope I can help one person get out of a bad situation.

Men are also abused. Many think they can not do any better than with the person who is abusing them. I want to let you know that you deserve better and there is help.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Some people say it is done out of Love because they are afraid the person will leave them. I believe it is done out of wanting to control the other person.
