You might want to make sure the aunt's estate plan documents have a "spend thrift" clause in them such that your wife's creditors cannot get the funds she is to inherit and you wife has the right to tell

As you're not in a community property state, you're both jointly liable for the debts; I've seen one but not both of a married couple file 7's in CP states to discharge debts due now; then a few years
There are on line calculators for you to check the means test numbers and I believe they just went up in Marin County -- as for filing a 13 after a 7 (ch. "20") you are incorrect -- you can file one any
They might try to sue you on these but if they do, so what? If you're judgment proof they can have a nice day and that's about it. They can always sue your ex if she doesn't pay them; if she files bk
