Dear Mr. Paisola, I have a friend who is above the age of 18 who needs some advice. He and another person are planning on robbing a store. possibly a 7-11 type store. Guns could be involved. We all live in Maryland. If they are caught, what is the maximum and minimum punishment they can recieve. I know that it all depends on their previous records which i don't know and who the judge might be and other specifics like that. i would just like to know the worst and best case scenario. thank you very much

What do you like about this subject? There is nothing like seeing the smile on a family members face when they realize that there is someone out there who understands what they are going through. The belief that every single soul in the world has value, no matter what they might have done!

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? It is my goal by working with the members of FAMM.ORG and the November Coalition to stop the revolving door that offenders are facing. The programs that are being offered must be funded and the minimum mandatory sentences that are being handed out are much too harsh in many cases in comparison to the crime.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: Did you know that a businessman can possess a gram of pure cocaine, but that same quantity of cocaine that is sold as crack (mostly by the African American Community) WILL result in a criminal sentence that is 100 times harsher than the businessman who uses the same amount? In other words the poor and disadvantaged use crack, The executives use powder, This is a big issue!

Something controversial or provocative about this subject Look, nothing is going to change in our criminal justice system unless someone takes a stand.
