Expertise

the Ifa Orisha tradition; most people know it as Santerķa. I can answer general questions about the tradition itself, or questions relating to actual practices, where to find more information, and how to effectively research these traditions.

Experience in the area

I've been initiated in the orisha tradition since 1996. I have been actively involved in the Religion for over 20 years. In addition, I'm a licensed professional counselor with many years of experience in mental health. I've written and presented internationally on this subject.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Most people don't realize how many practitioners of the Yoruba religious traditions there are right here in America. You don't have to be IN this religion to benefit from its wisdom!

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

If you got your impressions of African Atlantic religious traditions from Hollywood, maybe it's time to find out the truth about these ancient traditions!

2009-01-11 Santeria in Chicago:

Dear Kevin, Sorry for the delay in answering. I was out of town and then had to secure a new password! There are no books that do anything other than discuss the tradition since it is an oral tradition

2008-06-26 connecting:

Hello, Alan, Thanks for your compliments. In return I would have to compliment the people who have been teaching me. I do tell people to avoid Gonzalez Wippler but so many people have had their introduction

2007-12-19 massive miracles or revelation:

Dear Sebastian, the only religion I really know about is my own, and I haven't heard of such. This may be the difference between so-called revelatory religions and hierarchically structured initiatory
