I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.

Experience in the area

I help lead music in a small Southern Baptist Church. Although I rarely have the opportunity to play, I do play the bass guitar, drums, tambourine, harmonica and piano. I like Southern Gospel and praise choruses, but only know by heart the words from the hymnal, and my vocal range is half an octave lower than most music is written, but fortunately my husband transposes well and also plays by ear.

What do you like about this subject?

Christianity is a life or death matter--more important than anything else.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I am open to whatever God wants to teach me.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Many Baptists feel that the signs and wonders are not for today, but don't know why Biblically. The NT signs and wonders had the purpose to confirm, to authenticate the new covenant.(Mark 16:20, Acts 2:22, 14:3, Hebrews 2:3,4) That purpose has been fulfilled and we must be alert about Matthew 24:24.(But I have many charismatic friends.)

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Another charismatic issue that many Baptists face is faith. Faith must be faith in God, not faith in what we say or feel about something. That means we must trust that God's answer to our prayer is what is indeed best, even if it's not to our liking.

Thanks for writing, Nihal.  You are so right.  A funeral service for a loved one who was not saved, is sad and should be a time to remind the living how transitory physical life is.  It should be a time

Dear Connie,      Everyone is headed to Hell because we have all sinned.  But God has provided the Way to live with Him forever, so no one has to continue the path to Hell.  If we are willing to surrender

2011-11-05 rapture:

Dear KC.Lalropuia,      Thank you for writing.      Yes, I believe in pre-tribulational rapture.  Mainly I base that on Dan.9:24, that in the "70th week," God's focus will be on Israel again, instead of
