Expertise

I will attempt an answer to any question you care to ask about the United Methodist Church, or any other matter of faith.

Experience in the area

I am an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have been a pastor since January, 1988. I am a member of the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. M.Div. Christian Theological Seminary, 1991

What do you like about this subject?

This subject is my "home turf" so to speak. I grew up a Methodist, and happily became a United Methodist in 1968. This is where my heart is.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I am still gaining insights into the grander scope of God's grace and power. I am hoping to share those insights as others ask questions.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Most people outside the UM church do not realize how strong our ties are to the Lutheran Church. Without Luther, we may never have had Wesley.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

There are still those who perceive the UM church as not a church at all - some think of us as less than Christian.

April, First let me say how sorry I am that you have not been accepted in the Lord's house. The problem is that some folks seem to think it belongs to them. We United Methodists recognize that
