I am able to answer questions regarding development, assessment, and treatment of children and adults in the areas of: speech (articulation, phonological processing, apraxia, oral motor, accents), fluency (stuttering), language (expressive, receptive, semantics, syntax, pragmatics, etc.), cognition, augmentative/alternative communication. My forte is school-aged children (preschool through high school). I can also answer questions regarding the field of Speech Pathology: who we are and what we do.
I have seven years of experience conducting evaluations and therapy of speech and language. I have worked with many populations in a variety of settings: > Adult/Geriatric: aphasia, cognition, dysphagia (swallowing) in rehab, acute inpatient, skilled nursing, and home healthcare. > School-Aged: preschool through high school: speech, fluency, language, as well as pediatrics with autism and/or multiple disabilities in public schools, university clinics, and schools specializing in the education of children with autism and/or multiple disabilities.
I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
I have Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I have a New York State Speech Pathology License as well as a New York State TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities).
