2009-11-12 Should my 13 month old son be delayed with his speech?:

He sounds on track to me from what you posted. Did the Dr. see something that has him concerned? How is his eye contact? An explosion in vocabulary occurs between 18-24 months. Have you reviewed

No I haven't heard of that and I give my daughters natural supplements all the time. However, I have seen children begin to stutter from ADD medications, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

2009-11-05 Distorted ending /r/ sound:

No, I have never seen that error before, but it doesn't mean that he won't be able to produce /r/ when he is older. Given his age and the fact that it is his only error, I wouldn't be concerned yet.

Interesting idea, but speech sound production is so variable person to person, I would think it would be hard to make software that could account for that. Also, the feedback on the sound would be great

Is is possible he is copying you or others that are speaking to him? I think we have a tendency to do this when we are talking to little ones. Watch your intonation and see if you notice it. He could
