Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Chinese medicine's oldest book, called the Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, written over 2500 years ago, outlines the majority of the theory. It is a powerful therapy for long lasting healing because it treats both the root cause of a disease and the symptoms. Rooted in the tradition is an idea that emotional, psychological, and physical well-being are all inextricably linked.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Although Chinese medicine and acupuncture has been used for over 3000 years in clinical practice, in the USA, it is still the new kid on the block. Some people view it as hocus pocus, however this medicine has a powerful track record for treating illness.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  To help bring acupuncture and Chinese medicine from "Alternative" medicine to a wider population. One main way to do this is teaching self care techniques such as self acupressure, exercises, and common use of Chinese herbs for cooking and teas.
What do you like about this subject?  Chinese medicine is thousands of years old, but it is still a powerful technique for healing today. Chinese medicine has it's own vocabulary of health and wellness, diagnosis, and treatment which includes acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), and lifestyle choices such as exercises and food choices.
