Just because a doctor calls himself an "infertility specialist" it doesn't necessarily mean he/she has ANY background/training in infertility! Any doc with a license to practice medicine has a legal right to call himself an infertility specialist. Reproductive Endocrinologists have completed extra years of INTENSIVE training in either helping people get pregnant or stay pregnant.
Any doctor with a license to practice medicine has a legal right to call himself an infertility specialist, regardless of their background or training!
